Just take the subject out of a national ceremony that should have nothing to do with religion in the first place.
You should ALWAYS read the constitution so narrowly.

To those of you who don't want this nation to be under God, feel free to be under whomever or no one if you will. However, those of us who want to be under God will continue to say it, with or without your blessing. If you don't want to be under God just don't say it. No one is thrown into jail if they don't recite the two words. But should the Supreme Court ever remove the two words from the Pledge, will those of us who continue to use under God be thrown into jail?
