Remember when the Truth book was released and we were supposed to finish the study of the book with the householder within 6 months.

    BECAUSE TIME WAS SO SHORT!!!!

    That was what, 1969?

I'm a little suspicious as to what tactics simplesally was using to start her studies

The only studies I ever conducted were friends from school or the neighborhood that my parents wouldn't let me play with unless I studied with them first. I had to explain to them that we had to read the bible if they wanted me to come over. Talk about an abnormal childhood.

I remember my best friend from high school. I would go visit her alone and count her as a BS, but we would just visit and talk and such. I'd drop off magazines when someone insisted on going with me, knowing she was just going to trash them as soon as we left. I also had to tell her that I could only come to see her if we "studied".

Desi, my parents had the same rule... I was soooo popular in school. Everyone wanted to go play with the crazy bible girl.

I feel your anger.... As I got older I just got shy. I didn't say anything much to the people in my high school so that they wouldn't invite me to do things and I wouldn't have to turn them down or offer them a study....... Like forcing a young child to study is going to make them want to be a JW esp. when even children can see how weird JW parents are.
