More Fat-Burner Soup!

I decided a few weeks ago that I would like to lose a little weight. About 15 pounds.

Now I'm not fat - not really squidgy fat, just a bit over cuddly - so I decided on a gradual weight reduction over several months. Slow and steady wins the race!

So I worked out my calorie burning metabolism at around 3000 cals a day. I'm active, not a couch potato! To lose 1 pound a week, a person needs to eat 500 cals a day less than his body requires. Eat 500 cals a day more than you need then you put on an extra 1 pound in weight every week.

That means I need to stay below 2500 to lose weight.

Hmm. I'm not giving up my beer!

OK, 3 pints of beer a day is around 480 cals. That leaves 2020 for food.

First, no early morning biscuit saves 70 cals.

Forget the 3 glasses of wine at dinner time, that's another 300 or so. No spuds = about 400 a day. Couple that with low-fat everything else saves about another 300.

So now I've reduced my intake by around 1100 cals daily, I was eating 600 too many, now I'm hitting the mark and consuming 500 less than my body requires. If I go any lower I know my metabolism will panic and slow down to conserve against starvation, which will prevent me from losing any more weight.

OK, the balance is right, but I am getting hunger pangs at lunch time! Bunny food just will not do!

So now I load up on FAT-BURNER SOUP!

You know what? It works. Almost 3 weeks gone by and I'm 7 pounds lighter than when I started.

    Yippee!

    Hope you like cabbage!

No cabbage in my fat-burner soup!!!

FBS is excellent. It works by simply combining negative calorie foods.

Negative calories work differently. For example, some veg give you, say, 200 calories but burn up 300 calories digesting it!

I'll put the recipe up if anyone wants it. Mine is quite tasty, it also has garlic, chillies, coriander and parsley to make it yummy.

Please do! I just put on 10 pounds rather than losing the 30 I planned on.

Please do post your recipe, sounds good. I need to loose 5 to 10 stubborn pounds. I can't seem to lose it no matter what I do.

    I make it like this:

put 1 large (the really big one) can of Tomato juice or V-8 is good too, in a large pot. Add lots of veggies: carrots, celery, parsley, onions, cabbage (I think it would be really missing something without the cabbage), mushrooms, zuchinni, broccoli, cauliflower, and seasonings. (or any other veggies you know are the right kind) Fill the pot with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 30 minutes.

Don't put in potatoes, rice, barley or pasta. No peas or corn. Those are not the right kind of things.

You can virtually eat it all day long.

You can also make it without tomatoe juice, and just use water, with chicken broth. When I do it that way, I use the non fat broth. For the family, you can throw in a bit of chicken or beef chunks. Sprinkle with Parmesan. Yummy.

mmmmmmm that sounds yummy Mulan, some of my favorite things in there. Well, except for the cabbage that is. One would think that it would give one (one, meaning someone else who isnt me) gas though?

I like the mushrooms, I'd probably add a healthy dose of garlic cloves and lemon juice as well
