My recipe is very similar to Mulans.

However, I don't use cabbage, I use spinach. Cabbage? urgh!

Plus, I also put in 2 garlic cloves, grind up some coriander seeds and cummin seeds and throw in a pinch of Cayenne pepper.

So then I make enough for 3 days and it will keep that long easily, as long as it's in the fridge. I just heat up what I need in a separate bowl.

I guess the cummin in it would provide the extra protein....

Seriously though, I am anxious to try the soup, sounds really good!!! Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Mike, that sounds great too. The herbs would be really good in it. Thanks for the suggestion.

You can really add anything like that, that you like. Lemon juice is a good idea too. YES! Garlic definitely.

One would think that it would give one (one, meaning someone else who isnt me) gas though?

I have a friend who calls it "Fart Soup". LOL...

Mike, I was thinking about your diet plan while at the gym today. I don't recall seeing you add any exercise to your program. It will rev up your metabolism, especially if you do some strength training. Just a mile or two walk would be great. Also, all the empty beer calories...if you could even just cut one out and then add a little exercize, wow, now you're really cooking. The beer calories approx 160 plus calories burned while exercising 100+ gives you an extra 260 of good food calories. I understand if you don't want to do that...just a thought. I can't help it, it's why I became a personal trainer.

    Good luck!
