  Great post FMZ. I have full faith in my Creator, he knows what's going on. I have always made it a point to help others and let me tell you, the scripture is true when it says, "There is more happiness in giving than in receiving!"   Funny you should ask, Tetra, I didn't mention because I didn't want it to turn into a debate... but...

  I no longer consider myself an xtian because I no longer believe that Jesus is the sole mediator between us and "God" (whatever It may be). I now consider Jesus as more of a metaphor, whether he existed or not. Jesus was the epitome of love and acceptance, and THAT is what brings us closer to God, not Jesus the man.

  In short, Jesus represented what we should be, not who we should worship.

  cool. so is there a religon you feel more of an affinity for over others? like buddhism? or is it sort of your own take on things? a melting pot of sorts?

  this morning i am drinking a beer and a coffee. this is my spirituality for right now...

  you have said recently that you consider god to be the chaos of the universe, and that this is where the awe of god comes from. god is nature, nature is god. if i am pegging you right, you are in good company, as albert einstein was a pantheist too. and i can dig that. out of all "believers" (broad term, i know), i get along with the pantheists and buddhists the best. some pantheists are pagans too.

  Definitely a melting pot. As far as religion goes, I don't reckon all that much to it. The belief systems usually have something I can learn from and accept, but to commit to one religion would mean I am subjecting myself to their beliefs, and since the beliefs usually don't change, I feel it would be a stagnation.

  Evolution is improvement. I constantly study and read up on different belief systems.

  I like the idea of Pantheism... as it takes in all of the evidence given. It merges science with spirituality. As you said, Albert Einstein, one of yesterday's foremost scientific minds, could still accept there is a God. This is why I believe at some point science and spirituality will merge into a form of Pantheism. As scientific endeavors advance, we will find more about "God" and these forces that pervade the universe, and that they aren't so different after all.

  A scientific revolution is in order, and I think it's coming in the not too far off future.
