    MMMMMMMMM!!!! Venison!!!

Thanks for reminding me - I need to renew my hunting license today!

I don't usually start camping until late september; I hate mosquitos. By that time (up here) you can easily keep beer at an acceptable temperature without a cooler if you're creative. (or a fast drinker)

I always keep a good knife, stone and oil on hand too, as well as a compass, fire starter, book, camera, and painkillers.

I don't camp out except at the one outdoor pagan festival I go to each year. My magic bag - the one I never unpack - contains a 6' x 9' tent and a Vietnam-era Army messkit, and a cute little alcohol stove that'll fit into a coffee mug. All from eBay.

er toilet paper? nothing like being caught alone in the dark behind a great big rock with no toilet paper.

Ah I forgot! You know the lint from the dryer? It makes great kindling..burns easy and is very compact...just slip it in a snack baggie and you are set for emergency firestarter.

    Sincerely,

District Overbeer...fire! fire! I need TP!

    You should be so lucky.

I have camped before, ask Mulan, it's true. When we go to Orcas we stay in a cabin. They are rustic and pricey but have their own bathroom and shower. We bring our coffee machine ('cause we can) and we get our own beach spot. It's lovely. We do plan to pitch a tent for three days after our cabin week is over. We'll see how it goes...

We do plan to camp more after the kids are a bit bigger. LOL we keep saying that. I still keep booking hotels with pools.

I gave my fly rod a try, but I think I needs some different flies and prolly some poppers

Fly's, Rods, Poppers......Is there something your not telling us???

I only carry one thing around, and that is my leatherman tool. It comes in handy, and has been a godsend. Won't leave home without it!
