I guess it would depend on if Sadam's sons had gotten a hold of her first and maybe threw off a building with her arms tied behind her back. Or beat her in the street or cut her hands off for dealing with American money on the street. Oh yeah and Uda was apt to pick beautiful women off the street to use as sex slaves until he grew tired of them, then he killed them.We are not there to for kicks!
Bryan, I didn't ask you any of the above, and btw, I don't think you're being honest when you say "I guess it would depend...", as you're far to intelligent for this low level of argumentation. As to why we are there; I'm certainly very informed on that question. Btw, "kicks" or "legitimate reasons" are not the only two options on our plate for consideration, so why bring up "kicks"? Have you heard anyone of note infer that our purpose for being in Iraq is "kicks"?
My question again (and I asked you this to try and get you to think from the viewpoint of the people you seem to consider your mortal enemy; a very smart thing to do if you want to live and help your children thrive) is this:
Bryan, I've met your lovely (french) wife. Tell me, if you were in the sandals of a person in Iraq, and an American (which government you've heard only negative things about your entire life, and you DIDN'T invite into your country) bomb (targeting someone else) blew her arm off and you held her while she bled to death, would the fact that the American bombers didn't "purposely" kill your wife be of comfort to you?I think implicit in my question is that your wife has not had her arms cut off ;-)
