I lived at a place once that had a roving peacock in the yard. That thing was loud and usually would start squacking quite early in the morning. Ahh yes, the memories are coming back now, dark hateful memories that make me want to kill the lot of 'em!

    ahem, sorry, yes, peacocks, beautiful...

What the heck? do you live in a zoo?? lol, don't see birds like this wandering around people's yards where I live.

I do! One of my neighbors down the road has one just like it. He acts like he owns the place, walking all in the road. Beautiful birds.

Tell him I will whup his ass. My great great great great great grandaddy invented billiards. Oh sorry, Americans have short eyesight, only got 6' pool tables there. Ruddy streuth, ok, 20 bucks bet on a game, ten rounds to start, 6 sets. I'll thrash him. Can he afford losing this much? Throw you in as a gift.

My kids had a pair of theses gorgeous birds for a while when they were younger and the male would leave all the time. We would go to the neighbors and look for him to take him home.Once I talked to a neighbor asked if he had seen a peacock at his house and he said "yes in fact this morning I looked out the window and there was one in a mesquite tree" I said well it's probably ours I'll send someone to get him.He replies "no,I prayed for one & I get up this morning and here this one was" He thought it was the answer to a prayer.so I didn't have the heart to take it.But I've often wondered what he thought when it left.

    Celtic,thanks for the pix.

*made a note for future use never say Celtic, lives anywhere but Cornwall
