Your letere is absolutely beautiful. I just hope and pray that your family reads it all and sees what they have done.
How would I have reacted years ago if my kid sent something like that? I'm not sure but it would definitely make me think about my actions. Today.......I know that I will never shun anyone.....because a few old dried out cronies in Brooklyn want to rule the world.
I wish you the best and hope for a reuniting of your family.

Your letter is brilliant, Elsewhere. I do see why they didn't understand the letter from the borg to mean that it was up to them whether or not they shunned you, though.

What a powerful and moving letter - I really hope it has the desired effect. This situation must be so painful for you, as many people have said previously, how can any so -called 'loving' organisation promote a policy of destroying families.
Let's be positive, this letter could be the start of something good! At the end of the day, at least your conscience is clear that you made the effort to bridge build.
