I know of so many JW women that wanted to find a "mate" in the "truth" but instead became "old maids waiting on Jehovah"......Did you find yourself or know of others that just "waited on Jehovah" while nothing got done???

I left the care, keeping and destruction of the WTS in His hands.

Everything, I still do!
The organisation, nothing. Got sick of sitting on my a**** waiting for something to be done.

I waited for the congregation bullies to be taken care of by Jehovah.
It took an omnipotent god 8 years to take care of a problem I would have taken care of with a crowbar and a nasty attitude in 5 minutes.
As Magneto said in X-Men "Sometimes God Works Too Slowly".

Whenever a brother was removed UNFAIRLY from his responsibility, he was told to "be patient and wait on Jehovah". In other words, "Don't make any waves, shut up and maybe in 6 months, you'll get on the Circuit Overseer's good side".

well.. I guess when I saw things wrong in the cong I did.. I kept thinking Jehovah saw and would take care of it..
when I was single and wanting to find someone (i.e. a brother) to date (and we all know how many available and worth having there are around).... I was told.. wait on Jehovah.. he will provide..
I told them.. I live on a dead end road in a rural area.. what is he doing to do? drop one on my doorstep??
they didn't think that was very funny...

Everything I left in Jehovahs hands fell apart until I got off my ass and took care of business myself.

Waited in Jehovah to right a wrong done against my dad. He was ripped big time by a very prominant elder (assitant C.O. & very, VERY wealthy). Stole my dad's idea and became even richer. Elders & Crooklyn didn't do a thing. This dude had so much influence he could call Crooklyn and get things done. He even donated all the land for the new KH and almost single-handedly paid to have the building built. He employed half the congregation. No one wanted to see him df'd. I waited & waited & waited....nothing. Then again, his son (who was even a bigger crook) died in a nasty motorcycle accident and later the dad died a slow and painful death from dieses. Hmmm...maybe Jehovah did do something.
