I do not think the US and Canadian stats are much different, Atilla. Actually, the sites I was reading (this one and your federal govt's) both say that the crimes are most likely under-reported. Our cultures are so similar, I would venture to guess that the ratio of molestation and physical abuse to the population are very close. WE ARE NO BETTER HERE.
Our sentencing in Canada is not as tough, on that I agree. That is true across the board for both violent and white-collar crimes. For example, we do not have the death penalty (yay!).
My only point was that Canada is no more a haven for child molesters than it is for terrorists. As I said, glass houses, stones, etc.
