It is true. I was baptized 3 months ago and that is what was said to me.

You were baptised 3 months ago... I cant believe this!
(in the name of the Father, the Son, and his spirit-directed Organization.)
This is really new.
I will attend the DC in Germany this year.
I will try to listen.
I visited a CA last month (English) and never noticed any thing like that. I will check it out - If someone will speak to me!!![Sorry I am running out of brownie points and cant reply anymore today]

Alternative, you NEVER heard that change????? It was first told to me by an elder, but it is certainly common knowledge here in the U.S.
Ok people, can someone find a link for Alternative to read it for himself, I need help on this one.
Perhaps posting a new thread would ensure that he sees it.

Alternative,
Here you go:
The baptism questions before 1985:
1) Have you recognized yourself as a sinner and needing salvation from Jehovah God? And have you acknowledged that this salvation proceeds from him and through his ransomer, Christ Jesus?
2) On the basis of this faith in God and in his provision for redemption have you dedicated yourself unreservedly to Jehovah God, to do his will henceforth as that will is revealed to you through Christ Jesus and through God's Word as his Holy Spirit makes it plain? (See Watchtower 1970 pg. 309 par. 20.)
The baptism questions as we have them today, since 1985 (listen for them at your next assembly and you will see that this is true):
1) On the basis of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, have you repented of your sins and dedicated yourself to Jehovah to do his will?
2) Do you understand that your dedication and baptism identify you as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in association with God's spirit-directed organization? (See Watchtower June 1, 1985 pg. 30 par. 3,4.)
Look it up, if you don't believe us. Prove it to yourself. And then ask yourself how the Society could change Jesus' instructions for baptism this way.

I was curious when I was baptized why it wasn't done the way I had seen it a hundred times before in church.
I just walked up, was dunked, and that was it. I thought that the person baptizing me would say, in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit. There were no words said.
I was very dissapointed.
I think that this was my first big doubt about their teachings.

[hope this go's through - 25 points gone]
Are you sure they did not say
"baptised in the name of the holy spirit and its directing of his organisation"I have just spent 30 min. speaking with my father. His is a PO far away. He says they say the above. We accept that we pray for HS to direct his Org.
I can except that.

Fine. Most peoople do not accept the putting of the organization between the holy spirit and the Christian. It's an extra step that goes beyond what Jesus said to do.

Alternative, I'm sure, I was baptised in 1995 and the latter quote are the questions that we were asked. I only wish I had payed attention then. If I had, I would never have gone through with it.

The "questions" in German:
Hast du auf der Grundlage des Opfers Jesu Christi deine Sünden bereut und dich Jehova hingegeben, um seinen Willen zu tun?
Bist du dir darüber im klaren, daß du dich durch deine Hingabe und Taufe als ein Zeuge Jehovas zu erkennen gibst, der mit der vom Geist geleiteten Organisation Gottes verbunden ist?
Which is, of course, very much a literal translation of the English original. (Hey, we all know that the WTS translators in Selters do not hesitate to bend and break all laws, rules, and style conventions of the German language just to keep their translations as literal as possible. Nicht wahr?)
