Well, it seems that they have been slacking on the blood issue - but I can't imagine them actually letting it go. They'd be eaten alive. So they'd rather stiffen it and go back to no blood fractions, etc.

I bet the generation thing will resurface with a new starting date.

    Blondie,

You truly are a gem. My comment was simply a facetious remark, and yet you managed to determine a measure of truth from it, based on the WTS own words. Invaluable.

I can see tithing instituted or considering people who are inactive for 2 years DA'ing themselves

    Blondie,

I can see the same things happening. I have commented on other threads that the WT is just itching to get into tithing. It would provide them with a uniform source of revenue without worry. The guilt trip could also be laid on those who did not support fully all the programs. After all why worry about money when within a few weeks or months at the most when "A" strikes we will be throwing it into the streets. LOL

The second thought of DA'ed persons...A CULT can only survive in isolation...If reality intrudes all will be lost. I thought when they had the elders go around a year and half ago it could be the start of a purge to separate "the true believers" for those nasty apostates and unbelievers.

Am I paranoid...Time will tell...All I know is I don't trust anything that comes down from the WT as being good for me or my family.

I think they'll go back to saying that:

    • the end time was fortold in the Great Pyramid
    • Jehovah lives on the planet Krypton
    • One of the Assembly Halls is going to be converted to a house for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who should be resurrected any day now
    • We're going to Start Tithing: And That's a Good Thing!

I?m not sure which teachings the WT might bring back, but I know which teaching they will NOT be bringing back: that the great tribulation has already started to occur.

Can you imagine what would happen if they ever came out and said, ?We hereby declare that the cry of ?peace and security? has already happened to sufficient degree, and that now the great tribulation has, in fact, begun.? Well, if they ever came out with that again these days, then people would be expecting armageddon to begin, and finish, within a fairly narrow time span. No more of this, ?Well, we?ve gotta give it more time. We?ve been in the great tribulation for [10, 20, 50, 100+ ?] years now, so I?m sure armageddon will start soon.? No, sir. Years ago, they did say that the great tribulation had already started, but if they ever said it now, then people would expect armageddon to start fairly soon?or else, they would say, ?Okay, that?s enough!?

If people have already been waiting 100 years for the great tribulation, surely nobody would wait another 100 years for armageddon!

Blondie - wow! That's a startling set of quotes for their own version of the Trinity... excellent research.

I agree with everyone on the Tithing issue. They are pretty much begging for money already. on they're website (ok I admit I peep it every now and then) I looked up what that say about tithing since it was under Mosiac law but they saw don't get tattoos when it was under the mosaic law also..Double standard. But when they see the money isn't flowing like it used to..they're gonna come out with some "New Light" saying some bull that Jehovah had provided them with new light that tithing is something he requires and that it's now time we start practicing it. After careful research of the scriptures we have come to this conclusion. They already have changed in saying it's now a conscience matter if you want to celebrate your birthday or not. They change for the season...Whatever fits their budget is new light. Like the thread on here about hobbies...When the money was coming in it was ok to have a hobby but now since the money has stopped they say "Box up your hobby....I'm just in a total pissed off mood today since yesterday so excuse my post if they are a little too hateful. I'm just pissed that everyone is trying to make me feel bad for not wanting to be a part of this s**t anymore..My mom made the comment to me earlier talking about JW's is the best religion even if they do have some LITTLE things that not true. In other words even if something they are teaching me is wrong I'm still gonna stay here because they are the best religion. They don't celebrate all the worldly holidays, etc. Then I told her about it being a conscience matter (according to one of their articles) and she got mad at me... I hung up on her.

    Hi!

Did I miss something? When did birthdays become a matter of conscience?
