Isnt it Ironic. Two countries that will take care of the elderly who have not made provisi on because of evil WTBTS policy in the past, are the UK and the USA -- DO YOU NOT THINK JUST HOW DREADFUL THIS WICKED ANGLO-AMERICAN WORLD POWER IS?

Who do you prefer - living under the Anglo-American world power - or the WTBTS? NO BRAINER IF YOU ASK ME

The Watch Tower Publishing Corporation needs to take better lesson from the churches of the conventional type. Those churches have promised their members their rewards after death. Guess what . . . . no complaints.

If the Watch Tower Publishing Corporation conglomerate would focus more on the religion side of their business and less on the printing and religious literature distribution they would have more financial success and they would have an easier job of management.

A book printing business defines success in terms of volume of literature produced and in terms of the number of people working to distribute the literature produced. No (other) religion I am aware of defines itself in such hard secular terms.

Ethical religions (If I can go out on that limb), have social programs like homeless shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, and counseling services. The Watch Tower Publishing Corporation's only focus is on the reading and studying and the distribution of the literature they produce, except for their rather active real estate acquisition and improvement department.

They'll never change because their nature is all tied up in the current practices and rules. The group attracts it's target group of martyrs and defectives in addition to vulnerable reasonable people. In time the vulnerable reasonable people get past their vulnerable time and wise up and move on. The defectives stay and stay and the martyrs are actually proud of their sacrifices. They brag about their dumb decisions. They see stupidity as a virtue.

My mother's parents were told "Millions Now Living Will Never Die", they died.

My mother's brother-in-law was told "Millions Now Living Will Never Die," he died.

My mother's younger friends were told "Millions Now Living Will Never Die," 4 have died this year, all under 70.

Now she is approaching 80 and is panicking because she was told "Millions Now Living Will Never Die," and death is close.

You are correct Gary in that the WTS erred in promising people they would never die. My mother has believed that promise all her life and expected to cash it in. She'll "cash it in" for sure.

Anyone that buys into a situation in business and fails to do due diligence, is exposed to high risk. Anyone buying into a high-control cult without exercising due diligence also runs the risk of squandering not only their lives but their well being in their "golden years". The perpetrators of scams are only prosecuted if a) the scam is contrary to law and b) they get caught. JW scamming of people is not illegal but it seems they are in the process of being caught up to..

Enron employees that heavily invested in their own company broke the cardinal rule of potfolio diversification. Jdubs who invested in an exclusive world view have gambled equally and the results are not dissimiliar.

What's really hard is when an older person loses their husband or wife. They are completely unprepared for it. Didn't even consider it a possibility. I guess they still believed that millions now living will never die...

It's the kids taking over financial responsibilities of their parents (who didn't save for retirement) who have learned (the hard way) not to trust the WT society on this issue and will start to question WT rules on most everything else, too.

At least I believe Jehovah will take care of my parents, and by that, I'm assuming Jehovah is my visa card.

Whether by disparaging those who participated in retirement plans, bought life insurance, made investments, purchased homes, and otherwise took prudent measures to assure a reasonable degree of self-sufficiency in their latter years, or by creating an environment which induced some to rashly spend tomorrow's money today (by going into needless debt, maxing out credit cards, etc.) in expectation that Armageddon would clear the ledger of their red ink, JWs are the one religion that makes a virtue of financial irresponsibility.

How many aging Bethelites or traveling reps are trapped inside Bethel's walls by their indigence and fearful to even consider life outside their WT-woven cocoon?

Blood sucking Watchtower fleeces the flock. In 1987 we get a conference phone call, grave issue on: what are we gonna do about my lifelong devout senile very elderly JW paternal grandparents. They are in need of a PCA [personal care attendant} and don't have the funds. They don't have any money left for their elderly care because my grandfather, GAVE ALL HIS 'DISPOSABLE' ASSETS TO THE WBT$.{ end of the world coming in 1975} The Haszard clan all had to pitch in $$$ to care for them.My grandfather died first, at 80 years old(1992).He hadn't spoken for 3 years prior to his passing due to helpless senility. He was a proud and independent survivor in his time. Multiply this horror show times MILLIONS of defaulted, and defrauded WT$ 'cash cow' victims. HAIL TO THE APOSTATE HEROS. We are the voices of retribution. We are heroes

ยป Theologically,Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult of Christianity. The oppressive organization does not represent historical, Biblical Christianity in any way. Sociologically, it is a destructive cult whose false teachings frequently result in spiritual and psychological abuse, as well as needless deaths.

This makes a whole lot of sense Gary, but remember how the WT would put down those "feel good" religions, as if feeling good was not something spiritually acceptable. I think the WT would have much more success if the WT message was of a kinder and gentler nature. It is a crime the way they twist people's minds around such a cruel doctrine of faith further weakening them as human beings.
