Yeah, the title is bullshit. This past weekend was interesting. On Friday, my mother took me and my wife out to celebrate her 26th wedding anniversary. My father wasn't invited to his own wedding anniversary dinner.

The Watchtower Policy is the only thing that's keeping them together. The Watchtower keeps them miserably together.

OMG, I'm so sorry, but I laughed really really hard when I read this. It was kind of a sad laugh though...

Damn! That would be funny if it wasn't so sad!

Ok, the first question that comes to mind is: If the wedding is so bad, then why is she celebrating it???

Don't feel bad, I laughed too!

I think my mother has boiled it down to celebrating the survival of another year living with an asshole.

The answer is obvious, Elsewhere, she hasn't killed him yet. She is celebrating hers and his SURVIVAL and FORTITUDE in the face of IMPOSSIBLE ODDS. An odd couple!

My sister celebrated her tenth wedding anniversary watching a movie in her living room with me and a big bowl of popcorn. My brother in law went to a hockey game.

I hope my honey and I NEVER become that cavalier.

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!! Oh my god, I'm in tears. That's so funny and it's so true!!! Things like this have really made me consider not stopping my autobiography at my wedding.

Nos, do they eat at separate tables at home? If so, then your mom is bizarre in the max even for a JW. Sounds like she is using the JW religion to hurt him on purpose. Ah, love.

Not that I'm aware of. At least they ate at the same table when I was living there. They sleep in separate beds though.
