I just got word that protesters have been allowed on the "Cow Palace" convention center property (near San Francisco) with a valid permit. Any one here no about this?

Parks came up all the way from Los Angeles for the convention and said he has been having a ball catching up with people he has met at previous conventions and musing on the latest in politics.

Yeah, internal political strife within the organization is most likely. "Brother so-and-so got passed up on that promotion as elder because I hear he went and saw Fahrenheit 911 which we all know is rated R."
The last I heard, JW's are still warned(threatened) about getting involved or debating in politics.
Although Jehobers are as about as braindead as rotten turnups, they still do muse about politics, and keep a close eye on things and see how 'prophecy' is turning into reality.

That's because it is OK for a Christian to watch a snuff movie where a man is tortured to death for over two hours, but it is not OK for a Christian to watch two people have sex.

Elsewhere, you mean the borg didn't ban all its members from going see the Passion. I asked my mom if she wanted to go see a movie about Jesus' life and I got the whole boring speech about it not coming from NY/GB so she didn't want to see it. Maybe its a "conscience" matter.
The Cow Palace is the most disgusting, depressive places I have ever been to for a D.Convention. The people that attended acted the same way!!!
