I have some good memories of my dub days. It's sad that it was all for nothing.
..but if you have good memories, was it really all for nothing?

Before we got nice padded chairs, we had the folding metal kind that would amplify the sound of a fart throughout the KH.
I took great delight discovering that as a kid and made full use of it.
The super-cool cliques, if it weren't for them I'm sure 3/4ths of the children in our hall would've stayed.
The coolest thing about my old Kingdom Hall is that I don't have to go there anymore.

LMAO!!!!
Coolest thing I can remember about my old KH was the interest it generated when doing the quick build. We had dug the foundations etc, and it stayed like that for a few months. Billboards were put up advertising the quick build weekend, and the weekend before a passerby was heard saying "they'd better bloody well hurry up - they've only got the foundations and that's taken them months!"
Bull!
My husband is a very good stone mason. He did the exterior front of the hall and base of the platform inside using some really nice stone that was purchased by the Hall. He spent alot of time on it, and it turned out beautifully, in spite of "help" he received. Then he was told he could buy the left over stone! After all the work he did, work that would have cost a fortune out in the real world....Anyway, I drive by it almost every day, thinking how ironic it is that most of the people in the hall now have no idea who did the stone work.

The coolest thing about my old Kingdom Hall is that its about 1,200 miles away from where I am now...
The coolest thing about my old Kingdom Hall was dumping off my trash in the parking lot after I left in a fit of anger...
It had windows, and outside the windows in the back yard were some pretty little birch and pine trees.
The coolest thing about my old hall? Is that I'm not there any more!
Really tho...nothing was cool about my hall.Fluorescent lights,no windows....bad music...two faced sisters...smacking children.Sounds like fun to me ,EH?
