Someone recommended that I give "e-harmony.com" a try. It's a dating network that is supposed to be state-of-the-art and attract more intelligent people than your typical "nerve.com" jack-off fest. It's a little pricey...$50 for one month! The only thing I don't like about it is that is seems geared toward people who want to get married. Hell, I don't want to get married for a long time, or even, NEVER!

Anyone ever try this site? Comments? Suggestions? Jokes?

I haven't tried it (no need, I have a partner) but I suspect it is also geared exclusively towards heterosexuality. Just a guess.

Well it would probably work out better if you paid some one the 50 bucks to go out with you.,,,,,,No contract

Ive seen that grinning idiot Dr Neil Clark Warren(founder of eharmony) always hawking his dating site on late night tv. Its always a bunch of miserable people talking about how they met their soul mate on that site and now their lives are just peachy. They need to see a doctor about their obsessive terror of aloneness.

Im also hate people who use all 3 of their names.

Well I've actually tried this, although it was years ago when I was different and their system was presumably atleast a bit different, too. It's just a very involved personality test sort of thing.

Despite having grown up being a bit of a geek, I have no faith in these types of sites. When you stop and think about it, you are only relating to people through their system, and that is just kind of limiting. I don't know that it attracts "intelligent people" as much as it attracts people who think their system is intelligent. I say if you wanna use such a service, just go with a stragiht forward one and see what information the people has about themselves and put two and two together yourself. Atleast you get it straight from the horses mouth instead of having it filter down through this big elaborate system.

My best friend met a guy on match.com that matched up with her in most ways, so she went out with him and fell in love with him. However, come to find out, he was an XJW. He had actually been married to my brother's old girlfriend at the Kingdom Hall! hehehehe. Anyway, he ended up screwing her out of $10000. She took him to Court and won the money back.. but by then he was doing time for aggravated assault on another girlfriend of his. He even attempted to burn this chick's house down! The next guy she met on there was an XJW, also. She liked him, too, but he lived too far away.

Anyway, my friend then decided to go on EHarmony.com, and it matched him (the arsonist) up with her again! Too funny... Needless to say, she didn't take *that* suggestion!

I have met a few nice people thru online dating services, no love connections, but some interesting conversations and enjoyable dates. The thing I liked about it is that it brings into your circle of experience people you might otherwise not have met thru traditional means.

Like any other type dating, just be careful and have fun with it.
