Pole the watchtower has not been ran by the fds since 2000. FDS is a brand name.

Technically speaking you are right. That is if I get what you mean correctly (the formal transfer of corporate power from the GB members to the other sheep).

Theologically speaking, it's the members of the faithful & discreet slave (some of them at least) who are pulling the strings and occupying the really key positions.

But either way, what you've said only confirms my assertion: whether it's been partly like that as of 2000, or as of now or as of 2010 the printing house is/will be up for grabs for whoever manages to replace the long-annointed old-timers.
Show me where I'm wrong here :).

    Somewhat related observation:

In the idea that no one man would be able to "number" the great crowd -- due to it's immense size -- does it not seem rather unlikely that one man would be able to "number" a group as large as 144,000 as well? Who could even do that?

Or, if you do believe that "a man" could number the 144,000, what number is so large that he wouldn't be able to count that number?

I'm starting to think that Revelation isn't meant to be taken literally at all.

the contrast of a definite number ( 144,000) with an indefinite number ( the "great crowd") proves that the 144,000 is a literal number.

    Contrast is not proof!

    What is the commentary
