Kate is the heart and soul of my life.
She and I talk about sooooo many things, and she puts up with so much of my lunacy.
Together, we've picked up the shards of our exJW life and are rebuilding, rethinking, and planning for the future.
It will take time, but it feels so damn good to be on a reconstructive path.
It can be done.

Kate has told me a bit about where she perceives you, at this point in your life.
I haven't read many of your posts (nothing personal, just been really busy with other things), so I won't even pretend to understand what you're going through.
otoh, you don't know where we're at, either.
Among other things, I wake up every morning, realizing that Kate and I are gonna be working for the next 5 years just to pay off the financial obligations of our divorces; divorces thanks to the WTS.
But, and this is a big big thing: We have hope together, because we were willing to reach out and take a chance.
I'm not by any means saying that this will happen for each and every person; but perhaps, just perhaps, that's the biggest challenge we face, is the courage to step up to the plate and take yet another swing.

This path sure has some rough turns in it, some bumps that make the ass quite sore, and sometimes it seems to never look like it's going to lead us to the main road. Once we hit the main road, we find the journey we took has simply lead us to another journey .........................normal life.

Stef, Kate has simply told me that she feels for you, and feels your pain.
I'll step aside on this, and leave Kate to respond to you, either on the board or privately, as you both see best.
My point is we can recover, and we do recover, in spite of the agony it takes to get from point A to point B.
"Hope springs eternal," a feeling that I lost a long time ago, and am just this last couple of years rediscovering.
