Hunnnnny......what to say? I'm beside myself, I have never been loved like this before it was just a dream a hope I had inside me for so many years and now that I've found you I find myself constantly surprised by how wonderful you are.

Yes it can be done, you can recover and reconstruct your life. Hope does spring eternal and the journey is so much sweeter when you have someone who totally understands you and wants the same things you want.

I wish the same for everyone here, never give up hope, never stop dreaming, never stop working on your dreams.

Glad things are starting to work out for you two.
I don't understand this though.

Kate and I are gonna be working for the next 5 years just to pay off the financial obligations of our divorces; divorces thanks to the WTS.

Did you and Kate divorce and get back together?
I'm asking, because I have similar issues.
It seems to happen quite a lot within the WT walls.

It could also be that I have missed some of your posts, so forgive my ignorance.

Andy, both Kate and I divorced from long-term JW spouses (they are both still JWs, who have also remarried "in the truth" )...and 'nugh said about that.

At our ages, and with the disallusionment of decades of life in a failed religion and broken marriages, well, it was quite to be expected that we both felt resigned to living out the rest of our lives solitary.

First thing was for me to get my JW head out of my ass...which happened (and is still happening, for that matter ) for me primarily because of JWD, and a trio of very patient friends. Kate had already worked though most of that, some time before we met.

And then all that remained was for her to hit me up-side the head with a 2x4 and drag me off to her cave. LOL

I'm not trying to brag up about my lady (well, maybe I am, just a little ), but mainly to share a bit of our story and how amazed we both are at the happy lives we now have. Each day we share puts the lie to yet one more of the WTS depressing mantras: "Leave us and you will never be happy again."

I've not seen a poll done about this, but I'd venture to say that, whether by new romance or other, the majority of folks here would cast their ballot in the "recovered and can't hardly believe it" class.
