My vote is for Revelations---all those beasties and John's electric Kool-aid acid proclamations.

I guess it depends on what sort of problems we're talking about -

    Genocide - Joshua

    End-Times Expectations - Revelation, Daniel

    Creationsim - Genesis

Demeaning Women - several Pauline letters, esp 1 and 2 Timothy

    Shunning - 1 Cor, 2 John

    Terry,

Would any person that applies the Book of Revelation to any period of history, qualify as a "nut case" by your standard?

    Scholar,

You must be entertaining at parties!

Pretty blonde: "Hi, my name's Erica, what's yours?"

Scholar: "I'm Scholar, BA, MA, Studies in Religion. What do you think about the seventy years of Jeremiah?"

    Pretty blonde: "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

And God says to himself " What the heck was I thinking when I inspired Jeremiah to write that crap, I shoulda known them stupid humans I made woulda messed it and up and never figured out what the heck I meant by that shit. Oh well, its been fun watching them idiots argue about it and getting their panties all in a bunch over it."

    It has to be Revelation,

The old test was full of blood...guts and gore all in the name of god

Along comes the new and we are told love of god and neighbour is what god wants

Peter was a nut case...But John must have been on cheap drugs to dream up Revelation.

The whole flow of the NT changes with Revelation and to me does not belong.

I REFUSE to believe in the god of revelation.

    Poz.

Poz, you're not alone. There was much debate about Revelation's place in the Bible canon before it was accepted.

It has always seemed really strange to me.

The same guy, Bishop Athanasius, who brought us the Apostle's Creed, the doctrines of Trinity, Immortality of the soul, Hell, etc also gave us the first "approved" Canon of Bible books considered orthodox.

I keep asking JW's, "How can you consider everything produced by the Nicene Council as crap and yet accept the canon??" Athanasius was behind both.

I was about to say "one of Paul's" for messing women up, but then I remembered, R E V E L A T I O N. Everyone with an ear hears something different. Now I know why the council fussed about including that one.
