Am I totally naive to think that kids those ages still have some specks of innocence? Recovering Jehovah's Witness:
Though not entirely innocent ( no one in this day and age could be, not even the blessed Mother Theresa ), children do need to be taken into special consideration. I mean, up to a certain point, children should not be given the same type of regard as do adults, in their attitude, choices or behaviour, they're in a period of experiencing what it will be like to be an adult. Making decisions for themselves and most have no clue as to what to do when faced with the difficult choices they face. Some have incredibly faulty parents, even, and especially, in the Kingdom Hall.
Just as one is not given the privellege of acquiring a drivers license until they reach a certain age, baptism for teens, regardless for how well trained or mature, may need to come under the same scrutiny. To many chances to blow it for those who are travelling down the road called the bloom of youth!
