Shall we also mock the Jews for the "beenie caps" or funny looking "shawls" the men wear? How about those funny looking crucifixes that some Christians wear, or any other apparel that we think strange, but to others are sacred?

All fair game as far as I'm concerned!

Besides, the polyester suits and bookbags that a lot of Dubs wear and use as their uniform are often ridiculed here - why should the religious apparel of all religions but the Dubs be treated any differently?

First of all, thank you, DoubleEdge, for showing the only touch of class in this entire thread. You are always a class act.

As for the rest of you, underwear concerns only those who wear it, unless they are flashing for all the world to see, which Mormons do not. What underwear anyone chooses to wear is a private, personal choice. My only concern is that they occasionally wash whatever they wear so that I don't have to smell them should I be in the vicinity of where they either are or have been.

I would also appreciate them keeping their personal choice of undergarments to themselves. I do not care to see it. They don't need to see mine, either.

Secondly, not everyone is as obsessed with sex as some in here. Must every topic denegrate to that level of conversation?

And lastly, anyone with any decency will show respect for the deeply held religious beliefs of other faiths. To a moral person, not everything is fair game.

Ooooh! So this is how it feels to be in the presence of the extrememly moral! I am truly blessed!!

To be serious, "holy clothing" to me is not a sign of devotion to God, but a symbol of slavery to a religion - the burkha, the Mormon "sacred shorts", the Jewish "beanie", the crucifix and yea, even the JW bookbag all come under this heading. They are all ways in which practitioners of various religions try to advertise how "holy" they are, and better than those less "moral", when all they do is end up looking like a bunch of prats with an empty shell of a religion that does not bespeak a personal relationship with the God they claim to represent.

Good grief, there is freedom of speech ya know, would you like talk about underwear censored???!!!

    Oh god.

You don't have to be obsesed with sex to talk about it on a message board. Sex is perfectly natural between adults, and it's only children that we hide it from.

Nope. More genocide has been commited in the name of religion than anything else, ever. Morals are subjective. Most "immoral" things have been commited in the name of religion. Not everything is fair game to me. However, any religion is fair game to me. Religion IS a snare, and a racket. The JW's got one thing right.

I DO have decency. And am "deeply" offended that you insinuate by your comments that I don't. I have zero respect for most faiths. I have respect for what some of the people in them do for others. Not the faith itself.

I am a moral person. I work with severely emotionally disturbed children. I have changed adult diapers who cannot take care of these needs themselves, etc. I have no use for RELIGION or BIBLEGOD!!!! Or those who self righteously say they are right and therefore they have the right to do what they want to others based on their Relgion.

    Bite me.

"All I want to know is if he wears the funny Mormon underwear! (They are designed to prevent you from doing naughty things with your naughty bits!)"

Okay, is this a farce, or for real? Pardon me my ignorance, but I was just wondering.

The Mormon "garments" are real. However, Elsewhere's interpretation of their purpose may be somewhat tongue-in-cheek...
