I love seeing nature 'in real life' but I do not love the dangerous things like walking near a lava flow or swimming in big surf.......... too scared to die. My tv nature shows can show me the sharks and caverns!

I've hiked down the canyon from the north and south rims and I STILL can't comprehend how people still fall in. Most of the trails themselves (like Kaibab) are wide enough for a car to drive on. I think most of the time you can attribute some of the accidental deaths to exhaustion leading to disorientation, but in any other event...you have to go out of your way to kill yourself.
