BB, it doesn't have to be an actual prayer. You could do as some of the others here including myself, who visualize Ian's tumors shrinking. Myself (don't laugh. I got this idea from a true story I read once about a lady who did this and her tumors went away), I visualize little pac men eating away Ian's tumors. Heck, I figure if it worked for her, it can't hurt.
What is this in US times? can someone translate for the sake of the retarded or lazy?

Getting an appropriate time was potentially the most difficult thing Mulan had to decide. As it is it's 1am in the UK and 2am in continental West Europe. To make it a few hours later would push it up into the wee hours (GMT is five hours ahead of EST). One of the deciding points was that Ian would be safely tucked up in bed, and hence a passive recipient. That seems to have been a good decision. Since he's approximately in bed from 11pm to 5am, that places it around early to middle of that.
I hope that helps explain the rationale around the time, a little.

I tend to be around for about half an hour or so, as well as a wee time beforehand, so a few minutes either way would still have been part of the communal effect

LT, I'm fine with the time as it is now. I was only concerned with those who find the time difficult and that I am willing to do this twice on Tuesdays at two different times if it helped for those who found the original time hard to follow. I know it's difficult for you guys in the Uk being up so late. Sorry, I didn't mean to upset anyone.

And now a little over two hours to go...
Getting dinner out of the way early so I can be sure to participate. I "see" Ian's tumour being surrounded by healing light and shrinking towards the middle. The "shrinking" sort of pulsates, so that it looks like the shrinking is being replayed over and over, yet the shape is not always the same, nor the place in my path of vision. Still, the color starts from the outside and narrows the tumour down to next to nothing. :D
