A great many are , I am sure, in the situation that I once was .
The idealistic fire of youth has long since given way to a steady 'jog along' way of life that is comfortable . It is just "what we do". Largely family based, all ones friends and associates are within it. One may idely wonder about certain things but if the question really bugs you, then you just bring yourself to task and say "Dont even go there" ... Chiding onself for entertaining wrong thoughts you just dispel it and get on with preparing your next item or talk
If they could face the truth they are in the position for which they deride the householders who say " I have my own religion and it suits me nicely thanks"
After all. it takes courage to face up to reality and admit that one has been wrong all your life
