I was taught the feminine arts growing up. At age 2 my gr-grandmother put a needle and thread in my hand and began teaching me to sew, then emboider, crochet, etc. At 4 my mom put me on her sewing machine because I was already making doll clothes. At 8 I wore my first dress to work. As a teen I was designing my own clothes. (I only ran the needle through my finger once as a child abut 12 years old, and once recently - it hurts like a papercut - like hell!)
I always had creative and technical talent, and would draw and craft. Still do as much as I can.
Since I left as a young adult, that was never an issue.
I was a bored stay-at-home wife who didn't want kids right away, so I went to work. That became my hobby, then my life as I was able to earn a liveable wage, and it helped when it was necessary to leave my "wonderful" hubby.
Without kids (never had 'em - had cats instead) I've had time to explore hobbies like sailboat racing, computer programming which helped me in my early computer career, cooking, camping, reading novels, etc.

Astronomy, which I was always told "there'll be plenty of time for that after Armageddon" so I never bought a telescope. Now I have the time I don't have the money so I am going to have to make one as and when.
Fishing, which I was told was extremely bad so I sold off all my expensive gear for peanuts only to find out a few years later was not such a big sin and only was so in the opinion of one C.O.
Cycling, which I would have loved to have done more seriously but never had the free time. Now I can't do it because of a b*ggered back.
Actually, I?m still going to meetings and field service on Saturdays (have to for now?still living with JW parents), but I can still have my hobby: the JWD board at http://www.jehovahs-witness.com . . . . I just can?t dare tell anyone about it!

You must be on a countdown timer till you can get the hell out of there !!!!
If you're who I think you are, it's nice to see you back on the board again.
Hang in there !!!!!
