Ta,
Well,,the IRS are mean worldy people that want to get money from people who are saved as well as unsaved.
As a side thought my son-in-law worked for the IRS and they let him go because all the people he investigated wound up get more tax breaks because he is really kind hearted he would show them how,,this made him a very unprofitable employee. And so they droped him like a hot potatoe.
Actually what we should do is encourage everyone we meet to take all the liturature that the Dubs that come to their houses are willing to give them... never talk, never accept a study just take all the lit and ask for more then throw it in the trash.
I'll bet if someone emailed all the babtist churches and catholic etc and told them that if all their members did this then the WTBS would be bankrupt in 5 years then they would all sign on...
I've spent lots of time thinking about this and if every single householder took the liturature but gave no donation the WBTS would either go bankrupt or have to stop distributing liturature... can you imagine the poor 75 yr old sisters having to carry that much liturature? hahahahahahaha
Two "sisters" from the hall came by today to see how the kids and I are doing, do I need anything, etc. They asked if I wanted my mags and I said "ok, but just my personal copies, not all the other copies that are there". They looked a little puzzled but agreed to bring them by (gee, did I make it a little obvious that I don't even want to try to go out in service?). lol At least this way I can see what the WTS is dishing out without having to go back to the hall and look interested.
I never paid for magazines either! And I never asked for money from people - that just sounds wrong after the WTS brags about not having collections at the Hall!
I've always thrown out the old magazines I didn't place (which was most of them) - mind you, I'd hold onto them for months or a year "just in case" I could place them somewhere. We had a ton of old JW books that we were never going to read, and multiples of books that we only needed one of, so we threw out a huge box of them (it was so heavy I could not even lift it and could barely push it along the floor!). I just went around and found my stash of magazines (kept a few that were relevant to keeping informed on the WTS policies, like the new Keep on the Watch brochure) so I've got another box to throw out. I agree it is too much clutter. I am only keeping last years' bound volumes and the basics like the All Scripture inspired book, the Insight volumes, Ministry School, Reasoning, and other "basic" to refer to, plus we have the 2003 CD Rom. It is insane how much space you would need to keep all that stuff.

I love this thread.
When we heard the lit was free we both looked at each other and knew this was a joke (lie). So, we took them at their "word" (let your yes mean yes) and never paid for a thing! Good stuff and all. CD's, videos, bound volumes, etc Mr. Wized up was "anointed" so the "under dubs" wouldn't call him aside for this! He contributed to the electricity and rest room use. After all we used both, we wanted to be fair. This is after we wized up.
However, before then, we accumulated a stack of magazines stuffed in a closet measured at 3' high. The day I threw them out, I had to convince myself they were not sacred, or holy (even bibles wear out and need discarding-surely these are no better) and If Jehovah saw it necessary, someone would find them in the trash or dump, if they got that far, and be "saved". I think the carrion birds are reading them.(lol)
Oh the JOY of wizingup!!!
I wouldn't be surprised if little red lights were installed soon above the contribution boxes so when something goes in, the light goes off and the rubber neckers won't have to stretch so far to see who's contributing.
frankiespeakin , I already do that and of course don't give anything in assembly eitherI've been doing this, for 3 years!
If Jehovah was spreading his holy spirit in the congo, I would have been struck down!
Also, as money servant..... if Jehovah's people are the most honest people...... why do I need a 2nd brother accompanying
me to collect money? Would not honesty make me count the money correctly? thus not stealing also?
We are not Jehovah's people! Nor do we have his holy spirit! and we are not the most honest people on earth as they brainwash us to be
Well I'll just bring this up to the top,,seems a shame that some one forced to go to meetings should miss this.
No doubt some among the non beleiving JW crowd will come up with even more clever way to cause the WT to lose money.

I'm waiting for that day to come and help too
Guys, they "know" if u are not paying. Honestly, they watch to see who is contribuitng and who is not. I remember when the "donation" program started, people were watched like hawks to see if they were contributing. I have even heard them remind people of the usggested value of literature and we would want ot be honest and remit a fair amount so as to not be stealing from Jehovah. Big brother is watching you.
There is no way i'd give them money if I had to attend. Theat would be supporitng an abusive religion. Not anymore.

I've seen this happen, but as "information" from the grapevine. None has been said publicly.
As accountign servant, I've seen a couple of overzealous brothers shout at people rude remarks when putting money in. But I have not
shared in such stupidity and have not been told to do so from elders. Maybe in "overzealous" places bros are diffrent!
