I agree with Shamas and JLL. The purpose of this site should be to bring out facts about the hypocrisy and deceitfulness of the WTS throughout its' existence. The problem is some get carried away and state non-facts and make uncalled for derogatory comments that offend sincere truth seekers.

ACTUALLY IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO READ HERE, YOU WILL FIND THAT THERE ARE SOME SUPPORTERS OF THE WBTS.

HOWEVER THEY DO NOT COME HERE WITH AN AGGRESSIVE ATTITUDE AS YOU ARE DOING.

MOST OF US ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THERE ARE SOME POSITIVE ASPECTS OF THE JW'S BELIEFS.

THE PROBLELM IS, THE NEGATIVE ASPECTS FAR OUT WEIGH THE POSITIVE.

Actually, the purpose is to see how many compromising positions we can put Gumby into. Unfortunately, it got out of hand and the authorities were called.

Gumbail has been set at $450.00

This just in: Pokey is reportedly still on the lam.

well, i think given what Confused said the religion being "unique" it's hard for many people on this forum to be able to speak openly and be understood by people that have never experienced the religion...so this forum serves as a place for many of us with this common background to discuss what we can't easily discuss with others. Did that make sense?

It also allows those of us that have never been JWs to gain insight on what the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is like as a JW.

Ex-JWs who followed Bible principles were forced out?

Yes, by the hundreds. Two of the Bible principles that come to mind is that 1, we should always speak the truth and 2, that we shouldnt follow a false prophet. How many do you think the watchtower booted for speaking the truth about their false prophecies? BTW JLL, welcome aboard. and to answer the original question, some of the purposes of this board are to just let exjws be who they are, not to hinder the healing process and to encourage all to understand how they got caught up in a cult....plus, to help fill the gap of the loss of family and friends. Not bad huh? Brummie

A definate YES. If one was to go by just the bible alone and not the JW cult teachings you would be booted out.

The reason alot of ex cult members are pissed off is because we didn't have a CHOICE. Many are multigenerational JW's. Myself was a third generation cult member. So when you leave you probably have little or no education, no friends or family (because they shun you and act as if your dead) and most likely a low paying job. ALL of which is due to the WTBTS teachings.

not sure what you mean by "aggressive attitude". Could you please explain what that means to a simple minded person like myself?

Well now that would take a 10 page thread of its own, "aggressive" is a long word for simple minded people like yourself
