My current position is ...is that I just dont know! My wife however has started attending a church and is really enjoying it. Well yesterday she came home and could not wait to tell me something. She was talking to one of the women there and my wife said that she can not feel the holy spirit so the woman asked her if she wanted her to pray over her and my wife agreed. The woman started praying and she started talking in tongues! When she had finished my wife told her that she still did not feel anything. My wife then left the church. As she got to the car, she stopped. She has been complanining of an acute pain in her heel for about two weeks and suddenly that pain had gone.When she told me I said that it was Psychological but she replied that it was not as she was not expecting it and she had not asked to be healed. I have just telephoned her and she said that the pain is still not there. Any answers?

When I was a kid we owned a dog that liked to chew on everything. One of our close family friends was in the habit of walking in the door without knocking. One day the dog started chewing on the cord of the plugged-in vacuum cleaner. At the precise instant the friend walked in the door, the dog bit through the cord and got zapped but good. She flew under the couch and hid, and whenever the guy came in the house for the next year she was deathly afraid of him. A lot of 'spiritual healings' are of this nature.
I heard the story of your dog before. Did your mom ever find out you were putting Alpo on the vacuums cord?

A woman talked using words that no one could understand and now your wife claims that her foot feels better. Don't be stupid! Tell her its a damn miracle and the force must be very strong with her. Then buy her some flowers and get her some sappy Hallmark card telling her how her smile is like a sunset over a field of roses or some crap like that. Then go do the dishes and iron one of her silk blouses and accidentally burn it. When she yells at you tell her (force out a little tear at this point) you were only trying to help and show her how much you love her. If you do all this you will probably get sex at least twice this month and never have to iron anything ever again.
Opportunities like this don't come up all the time, use it to the max.
Some years ago it occured to me that I had actively blocked my wife's wishes to have our 3 sons Christened. When I went through my "realising that I was still acting dubbish" phase, the first thing I did was to organise having all 3 Christened at once. This was a clandestine operation to prevent Momma keeling over in shock.
Come the day we were stood beneath the huge church steeple, when I experienced the most incredible rush of warmth accompanied by a sensation of well being.
I wonder what that was?

Of course she was expecting it...just not consciously. Her subconscious mind, however, is always aware of certain connections that could or should be made and seems to have acted on her behalf. Great, run with it. Who cares if it's a mere placebo effect, as long as she is out of pain.
And for God's sake(or whoever)DO NOT listen to anything Dave(7006) has to say on the subject of women! I am beginning to wonder if he's ever actually met a woman!
