Kwin, since your parents had 2 in the 80s, albeit after the end didn't come in 1975, but there always was the threat of "the end coming soon", did you ever thank them for going against popular WT advice and giving you siblings?

Must not have thought the end was that close. Never thought of it as going against WTS intructions.

Just a thought...could it be that by discouraging offspring, chances are greater that their members will leave their estates to the WTS? It seems they would have plenty to gain from members that are solely devoted to their lies in life and in death.
