    Brenda;

    How about intelligent design evolution where evolution is actually the process of creation. This is my belief.

    I didn't see your post before my last one. That is an interesting notion that I have heard before, but don't have enough evidence yet to make up my mind about.

    Is that what this Intelligent Design curriculum is, or is that a completely different concept?

    I actually don't think ID promotes religion. It promotes a concept, not necessarily a religious doctrine.

    There are many, many creation stories around the world. Some are Adam/Eve based, many are not. I see them as stories of explanation based on limited scientific understanding, just as the Lakota see the stars and say that each is a campfire of an ancestor that has crossed over.

    For me it is difficult to look around and not see intelligence in both the simple and complex.

    Peace

    I don't know the basis for ID. Probably the Christian Right Wing as.ho..s.

    Through discussions with several athiest scientists (even a rocket scientist from the space shuttle project started to think there was some-thing some-one out there), athiest, agnostic, and deist physicians, watching PBS, reading, and exploring American Indian mysticism, etc. I have come to this belief on my own, even though I have heard of it since I started piecing it together.

    I think the big bang was the action of creation. Think of it this way: you put eggs, sugar, flour, and other ingregients together. It just sits there until..... you blend it, pour it, and bake it. If you did it in a specific order with specific amounts and proper heat and timing - you have a cake! The big bang is the blend. The expansion of the big bang - the expansion of our universe and development of the tree of life, is the pour and bake. In the case of the universe(s) the timing isn't up yet. We're not "done".

    On a more serious note: I tend to believe more in the creation theory rather than in evolution myself. Just the ocean alone is so complex. Scientists cannot mimic it.

    I tend to agree with your Big Bang theory as well Brenda. But that there was a definate plan behind it. It didn't just happen or evolve. Who the backer was, who knows? Maybe we never will! Maybe he wants it that way!

    Dr. Wolf-Ekkehard Lönnig is a JW working at the German "Max-Planck-Institute". He is endorsing Intelligent Design.

    You find his WebSite at http://www.weloennig.de/internetlibrary.html

    There was some turmoil when the Max-Planck-Institute took his WebSites on evolution down their server because of his views.

    German, excellent site and article on ID. Thank you for that.

    I find the rift between the two factions interesting. The ultra athiest scientist/biologist vs the agnostic and/or ID oriented.

    The Devine Foot in the Door. I like that. The thing is, in regards to micro-evolution and/or cloning, isn't the scientist taking on the role of the devine?

    That he is a JW with as much of an open mind as he has, is very interesting.
