I am just so surprised at how much labor they got out of us...and this is just 'us' here!!!!

I labored on a renovation project and a double KH quick build. The quick build was an acrimonious affair from start to end. Four congregations were involved and there were so many frictions and arguments. Years after it was built the elders in the four congregations continued to argue about costs, share of expenses and loan repayments. One elder from an opposing faction got reassigned to my congregation where the local PO was his worst enemy. He lasted about a year before the PO got him removed. Not that the elder in question wasn't just as selfish, arogant and domineering.

I remember this guy ariving on the site about lunchtime on Friday (he couldn't get time off work to start at 6:00am with the rest of us. I was laboring with a newly baptized "brother" who had studied with this elder. The newbie was a professional civil engineer but being new was assigned menial tasks with the rest of us. We watched this elder from the scaffolding as he quickly set about taking charge and bossing others about. We laughed because it was so typical of this elder who always wanted to be the big-shot and took any chance in the JW world to inflate himself. The newbie JW moved away a couple of years later. I have often wondered whether he ever stayed a JW, especially after seeing all the infighting that went on within the elder body.

While the building work was fun for the two weekends I was glad not to be involved in any planning and never volunteered for any other quick-builds locally.

Why are you getting upset with poor ol' Yadirf? After all, his comments are probably little different from what any other brain-atrophied JW would say after a few drinks. Think about it: his knowledge of medicine is at about the same level as the WTBTS, his patronizing attitude towards women is all too common in the WTBTS, and he is a shining example of the effects of WTBTS indoctrination of how to treat opposers.

Besides, I feel sorry for him. Who else would use his lover's footprint as his picture?

Regarding profanity, I have found that the less I employ it, the more effective its usage. So I try to limit myself to one use per year online. I will use my 2001 allotment here by telling all about the mental picture that forms in my mind whenever I hear the phrase "Spiritual food from the faithful and discreet slave": it translates to "Clotted yellow pus from the Cunt of Brooklyn".
