Okay I figured it was time to "widen out" cybernetically speaking. I am inactive now but have 28 years of JW experience, including Bethel, IVCW, pioneering, eldering in spanish congregations, and "need greater" (unofficial missionary) time in Paraguay (the country's only german-speaking group) and in Dominican Republic.
Now that I've established my rather impressive credentials, allow me to bestow the formal vulcan benediction to all (if I can do it right).

Well spock, the fact that you are an obvious Star Trek fan is proof enough you have been a Witness and that you have done all those things that you say you have.

I don't know about those credentials being "impressive". As far as I'm concerned you can just take your credentials and beam them up your... (just kidding friend)

Nice signature line. I hope you at least had some fun on your JW trip.

    Welcome buddy

    Hello, Mr Spock.
So, with all of that investment in 'the truth' and now you're inactive. Care to tell us about it?

    Hello Spock,

My son was on a college bus trip - the movie showing was a Star Wars - but no sound. He mouthed all the words correctly for the entire movie.

I was so proud of my college educated son. Worse yet, he was proud of himself. He's in law school now - make a great lawyer - can mouth anything.

    Nice to meet you.

Well, a basic major stress burnout from trying to do what i thought was necessary to be a christian, according to the Society. From the time I was baptised, 1967, I was assured both verbally and in print that it was God's promise that the end would come in my natural lifetime. I bought it. Once I bought it, my logical conclusion was that a 100% effort and dedication to the Cause was necessary to help save lives. After 28 years of pushing myself to the max, the Society decided that God hadn't promised this after all...I'm referring to the infamous fiasco on the elastic "generation of 1914" that wasn't supposed to die off before the end. This set off a tripwire in my mind that resulted in the total destruction of any credibility the Society still had. It also touched off a serious stress breakdown, divorce, and psychotic depression that landed me in the nuthatch thinking I was the Antichrist and that the police and apostates were after me. That was about three years ago. I have recovered from that and moved on. life is good now.
