I agree with LT....these fellows do not need to fabricate lies to denounce the witnesses. I've heard W.Martin in a mock discussion with Bill Cetner in which he uses arguments that are weak with regards to scriptures dealing with the trinity that were not strong arguments.........but he also proved many claims of the witnesses as false.
Most of these evangelicals, born againers, will tell you the witnesses are going to burn simply for denouncing the diety of Christ. For a christian to say Jesus is not god is blasphemy to their ears and they won't hesitate to tell you so. This is a good example of behavior of religion in general.
XQ,.....you you mind telling everyone here how it is the JW's are born again christians? Even those who claim to be of the annointed class do not use that term for themselves.....but you do.

I don't know about the authors booker-t mentioned, but a lot of the Evangelical anti-JW stuff I have seen was just as biased as what it criticises. However, this does a double service to the somewhat insightful reader...

Thats classic stuff, eh gumbed-againer
So if JW's are wrong they will answer for it and Born-Agains should not lie on them or distort the truth about them to make them look worst.
I don't think that these scholars have advertently lied about the JWs. Just like us, when you don't fully understand where someone is coming from, the chances of misquoting or "bending" the light of their view is highly likely. Not out of wanting them to look bad, but out of really not understanding where those people are coming from. Face it: unless you WERE a JW, you don't FULLY get it. You think you might, but you won't.

Good point B-Goat -
I have seen some lopsided ideas when I was a witness - from people that insisted they had it right. One lady told us point blank that we did not believe in Jesus at all. I came back with a watchtower that had an artist drawing of Christ on the cover - and his name in the headline for the magazine -and still she wouldn't accept it - And in the case of any sort of religio-fanaticism, there will always be those who will try to distort the viewpoint to make their case.
I am not familiar with the specific arguments made by this author - but chances are, that unless he came from within the organization he hasn't really gotten to understand the theology of JW's - heck, some of us that were in it for 30 years couldn't keep up with the changes -

I agree, since I was not a JW, I will not fully know. But his site is helpful in providing insight for us non-JW. But I will continue to try and understand. Because if I can Just help one person, it will be worth it.
XQ,
Could you please explain this.................
The problem is since JWs are born again christians they are putting themselves in a bad light too.
This makes no sense at all unless you are refering to the "annointed" who say they are born again but do not make a big deal by using said term.

"XQ,.....you you mind telling everyone here how it is the JW's are born again christians? Even those who claim to be of the annointed class do not use that term for themselves.....but you do." "This makes no sense at all unless you are refering to the "annointed" who say they are born again but do not make a big deal by using said term." If you read the magazine the 1%ers call them selves born again all the time, and enjoy patting themselves on the back about it. It is not news. Infact most of the magazines seem to be writen to them, and for them with door (or boobies) prizes for the 99% of us.
