Valis: LOL does that mean you wouldn't try it?

I wouldn't either -- it's the barley and mint that put me off.

I've eaten some wierd stuff in my life but that is something I will never try. I get sick to my stomach just thinking about it.

Now, frog legs, cow tounge, cactus, I can handle, but not that, no way.

Blood pudding ... is that like "boudin" - (the French version of blood sausage)? I have tried boudin, once, and that was plenty for me, thank you. Although I had some Frenchman trying to get me to taste it grilled on the BBQ, as if that would improve matters! Gag! Yuck! Non, merci!

When wifey and I went back to visit our friends in Devon recently, we headed to a little cafe for breakfast one morning. I ordered a good ol' hearty Full English breakfast (boy do I miss those). Imagine my surprise when my plate came with all the goods, plus a few chunks of black pudding.

With nary a second thought I tried it, and felt another one of the b0rg's chains snap loose. It tasted great! Nothing like I imagined. Much like haggis. Who'd have thought innards and oatmeal would taste so good?

Now I am finding myself wanting to try more of the "taboo" foods, maybe even tongue or brain (there is a place not too far away from here that I have heard makes the most amazing brain sandwiches you ever did taste). Oh, and I need to try "Alligator onna stick" sometime too
