    Zippo for sure !!

    BTW- Valis-

I have had Collibris before and it really depends on which one you get.

LOLOLOLOL !! First of all, just how long did you have this lighter in your possession to judge it- before you lost it- 10 minutes? And whose lighter was it prior to that?

Thanks for the laugh- THAT was hilarious !

Thanks for the advice. It gives me a few more places to look. So Zippo is the butane type? The laser ones aren't really wind-proof?

Dawn, my Zippos are all the old fashioned type which use a liquid fuel (naptha, I think). They require a bit of regular maintenance, as it seems like I'm always refilling them, replacing flints, trimming the wick (and no, that's not a slang term for masturbation ), etc. But there's a certain comfort that comes in using a product that has been in production for more than 70 years. And I will guarantee that these critters are windproof. I've used them while riding motorcycles and in convertibles with the top down. As for the laser ones you mentioned ... I dunno. I've never tried one.

    Yahoooooooo!

Thank you very much. He loved the Zippo. I found a nice one at Wal-Mart with an Indian Feather and turquoise stone (and it was on clearance). He loved it. So thank you so much.

Oh, and the discount cigarette place had Zippos, but since I seldom go in there with him, I didn't know. When I called and asked if they had nice men's cigarette lighters, they said "No." They must have thought I was talking about diamond encrusted gold lighters, or something really really fancy, because my husband said they had a big selection of Zippos.

Oh well, he likes this one and that is what counts. Thank you so much all who responded to this thread.
