wow you people make me feel very hungry.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but did open a can of tunafish for my cat, which she gets on special days.

I had a BLT sandwich for lunch and am making dinner as we speak.. corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and pork chops.

was invited for a Chinese buffet (as we called it) all kind of delicious things: Dim Sum, tomatoes filled with shrimps, filled egs, ham & melon, sate (3 different types) oisters, big shrimps - 40 different choices - it is now 4 houres after we finished our meal and my stomach is going to feel "normal" again. (it was much to much)

Oh, and we got a delicious aperitive: a Spoom ? did'nt had that before.

and after that all, I joined my daughter and have played Triviant for 1,5 hours - 2 games, we both won a game with all the colours filled in.

Since we had turkey at Thanksgiving, I made a ham today -- special request from Jennie -- with roasted potatoes and roasted parsnips and sweet potatoes, carrots for Jackson, salad for Jennie, and pumpkin pie for dessert. Mmmmmm. And we watched "What's Up, Doc?" and "Spiderman 2" which were Christmas presents for the family.

Some friends of ours, who also happen to be neighbors, gave us four hand-painted Christmas wine glasses as a present, so Chris and I had wine in ours and the kids had Sprite (which can pass for champagne in a pinch). We felt properly festive.

    This is fun!!!

Big family get together and my brother-in-law is an accomplished and established chef need I say more.

Appetizers: Bacon wrapped baby scallops; Beluga Caviar on crackers (a client gave it to me as a present otherwise I would never spend that much on fish eggs); Foie Gras (freind makes it on his farm - quite tasty).

Salad: Mixed organic greens tossed in balsamic vinager, herb and honey dressing.

Mian Course: Two Turkeys; scalloped potatoes, fancy spinach thingy ? but delicious; stuffing; gravy; cranberry sauce.

Wine: We killed 4 bottles: Mersault; Chablis; Chataue Pontet Canet; Chateau Leoville Poyferre

Desert: Home made (flaming) plum pudding with hard sauce; chocolate truffle cake.

Best part of the evening: My twin 4 and a half year old nephews

    Very untraditional ...

Fajitas ... I made homemade guaqamole and it was delicious! It didn't really matter what we had though ... what matters is that I was not alone on Christmas and was with friends.

By the way ... we missed you guys, Sheila!

(Afterthought ... if I was still a JW, I would be with my family at a circuit assembly this weekend! Scary!)

We had a very traditional meal, Turkey and the usual sides no deserts. It was great cause we all done the cooking.

But reading some of these menus I am seriously gonna be pushing for invites to spend next christmas meal with some of ya'll. I'll do the dishes!!

Traditional depends on where you're from. Down here in Texas, that would seem right proper!

Mozz and I went to his sister's in Hico. Tiny little, blink-and-you'll-miss it towns. We had fresh grilled steaks (they live on a farm) bakes taters with all the trimmings, pea salad, and lots of nice red wine. Fudge and truffles for dessert. Then yesterday we woke up to Huevos Rancheros and then had Turkey Butt Stew for lunch. I'm stuffed fuller than a fatty duck, but man it was good! I love Christmas!

But today it was sure nice to wake up in my own quiet little home.

Hope y'all had a Merry Christmas!

    Andi
