Firstly I miss you all. A lot!
This past year has seen this group experience many joys and sorrows. So many have had serious struggles this past year. It has been wonderful to see the wonderful support offered to all those who need it. I have watched as so many of you have offered your support time and energy to be there for those who needed it.
I think this group really has demonstrated the spirit of giving, not only once a year (as we were once told) but all year long. And the giving has been without any pressure from others or only directed to "deserving" ones.
My heart and thoughts go out to all those who are still struggling with problems this year. For some it is heaqlth, others it is family and legal issues. For some it is the struggle to become free of the WTS shackles. And for many it is the work of rediscovery in a world without petty rules.
It has been wonderful to see so many new ones leave the ranks of the JWs and find a way to freedom. And they have been welcomed, their questions answered or they have been directed to places for more information.
Sadly many have chosen to leave JWD. I miss them as I know many of you do. I truly hope each one finds a way to let go of their resentments and learns to be happy in their lives.
And of course there are those who have made JWD a family of sorts. So many stay to offer support to new ones fresh out of the WTS or those who are questionning the teachings and policies. So many stay for friendship and caring. My hat is off to all of you.

On a personal note. I am still offline (unless I can find access to the internet). I am still in temporary housing and waiting for a place to plug in my computer and be back online with all of you.
Emotionally I am doing very well. I feel better than I have in a long time. That is the good news. The bad news is that we still don't know what is going on with my feet. I had to go back to the hospital a couple of weeks ago due to pain and they doubled all of my meds. At least the pain isn't severe for the moment and I actually have some time that is pain free so that is a good thing.
My new doctor is redoing many of the tests I had in Winnipeg so see if things have changed and to assess my need for disability. At least she wants to be thorough and not have my application for disability rejected. So that too is a wait and see matter.
It has been a good holiday season for me. Yesterday we discovered I will be a grandma again (oldest daughter). Baby should be due in September. And my yougest daughter will be getting married in April. So it will be a busy year.
