Oh I wish I had good news. This morning I was told I could be in temporary housing for up to a year before they find something for me and my wheelchair. I am safe and warm but am still living in one room at the Y.

I want my own home ASAP but it seems the government here decided 10 years ago to stop building accessible housing units. The waiting list can be as long as 7 years. I am on High Priority - 1 year!!!

And I miss you all!!!

Hi Lee! It's good to hear from you, even if the news isn't great.

Your situation reminds me of when I was living with my ex's dad. I pretty much stayed in my bedroom with my computer running Win 3.1, internet access with Netscape 2.0 (this was in 2001), my cats, the litter box, their food, my stereo and TV. I still can't believe I fit all that stuff plus a bed in that little room. I was miserable, felt out of place and homeless. I was happier than a pig in shit when I got out of there. The best part was I didn't have to deal with running into my ex every couple of days.

Lee, glad you are warm and dry. Wish the news was better, but at least you have a possible end date.
