You should read some the books written by Lee Strobel. A Case for Christ, A Case for Faith etc. He was a confirmed Athiest for many years and then turned Christian after much research and he wrote some books debating the issues. They are excellent.
It all comes down to one moment (or a series of moments) where, somehow, God convinces you; but it has to start inside yourself. If you're scared to trust your own perceptions, it's impossible to believe in God in any meaningful way.
That's right Rochelle.....god is picky. He likes you though...and all others who claim he has answered them. For those of us who have begged, cried, pleaded, searched, and still don't know our ass from a hole in the ground as to lifes questions....will have to assume god just doesn't like us.
Tigerman....you claim god let you live because of your caring for your fellowman. Do you suppose the 150,000 who perished in the tsunami cared as much for their fellowman as you did? I'm sure you do as you seem like a nice guy.....but how do you explain gods selectivity? He lets you live yet thousands perish. I see no justice.
Those who believe ...seem to indicate it's the individuals fault god hasn't answered them or interveined in their lives and it hurts non-believers to think others think of them that way. I for one did my best to look for answeres and never got squat......and neither has millions of others.
Ivfer4.....and I've seen many believers who critically examible and turned Atheist too. It's tit for tat.
Gumby
Great answer for Bradley, missy 04.
Bradley, next time I'm in Chicago or wherever you are I'm going to look you up and kick your a$$, you self-important creep.
In all fairness, the opposing view should also be considered.

The question about the existence of God is nothing new and I doubt it will ever be resolved. But, hey, the world has enough room for both views. All they are are arguments: for and against.
I hope you were joking about Bradley Tigerman.
Gumby
I'm pretty sure he was, Gumby, at least the violent part
Yeah Gumby, I was only jokin' around.
Tigerman
Tigerman is full of shit.
