Before our remodel we had (30 yo) stainless sink and stove-top. Both cleaned well, they didn't chip, and there are stainless cleaners that leave your appliances looking nice and limiting fingerprints.
Im now bery bery careful with the sink (an Americast porcelin like finish over a plastic composit), and I've already chipped the white stove.
The fridge I love.... it's the crinkle finish in white and just doesnt' show fingerprints. However, once dirt does get embedded, it's harder to clean.
I just love the look of white. We have a very small living area - 400 sf for kit, din, liv. It used to be dark pecan kitchen with rust carpet. Now it's ceiling high natural maple shaker style, with golden oak pergo-like flooring (Wilson Art brand - excellent quality) The counter is course salt-pepper solid surface (Wilson Art again, less expensive than Corian). Appliances (fridge, range, over-the-range microwave) are all bright white. Walls are bright white. Very bright and clean looking, and a good backdrop for decorating. Sink faucet is stainless and wipes down nicely.
