    I have an on-line bible now ...

And I still can't find the scripture that says something to the effect that if you leave god he will leave you.

    Please help?

    Thanks

If I recall it was something along the lines of "fore saking" Jehovah or denying his name. Hope this is helpful.

I do have the 2001 CD at home and could do a further search later there.

    1 Chronicles 28:20:

"And you, Sol´o·mon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a complete heart and with a delightful soul; for all hearts Jehovah is searching, and every inclination of the thoughts he is discerning. If you search for him, he will let himself be found by you; but if you leave him, he will cast you off forever.

Try www.blueletterbible.org for a decent online resource. I like the comparative versions available and the reasonable search engine.

Hey Narkissos, I've just looked at that verse in Hebrew and it reads nothing like the NWT. A more suitable translation would be "...not fail you...until the work on the house of the Lord is completed." Take a look, the NWT rendering is so far off its scary. So, well done for spotting a uniquely NWT rendering!

Never mind now, I see you're looking at 1 Chron. 20 verse 9, not verse 20...

Wow, that got scary for a moment...
