Being Serious: not all men cheat, but a good portion would if given the chance because they'll let instinct override principle. A prof in 1st yr bio briefly lectured on darwinian fitness and promiscuity of different primates.Human males fall in between the range, with the very promiscuous chimps on 1 end and the monogamous gorillas on the other. The numbers for us are skewed closer to the chimps, but there are some decent noble men out there.

It's a myth that all men cheat or even that all men want to cheat. A myth that is promoted to women, so that hopefully we will just accept infidelity gracefully. After all, "Men will be men."
It's also a myth that women aren't tempted the way men are to look at other men/women and to be unfaithful.
Eddie's opinion is called propaganda and it's nothing original. It's probably 1,000s of years old. "Oh honey, I can't help myself. I'm a man. Don't you know it's not in man's nature to be monogamous? Just accept it and run along like a good little girl. Have your nails done. Buy a new dress. Don't cry. I'm a man. I can't help myself."

I think you're probably more the norm, BigTex. Some guys are comfortable with their masculinity and don't feel the need to go around proving how male they are by sleeping around. I realize there are other reasons why people cheat. Sometimes people, even men, do it because they turn to someone they think understands them. It's NOT always about sex.
