What I think will happen is that she'll go and spill her guts out to the elders. Remember, if she's sincerely in good standing, her allegiance is to the WTBTS. If so, you'll be before a JC so fast it'll make your head spin and then you'll be df'ed for apostacy.
I hope I'm totally wrong.

i here to much panic here. Bliss you did fine very fine. this sis asked you for lunch , to be able to talk alone. she wanted to here what you have. i don't think she's going to run to the elders. i mean your allready df'ed. lol . someone planted a seed in her, and u just watered it. let it grow let it grow. john
(Oh, she also said that many had left, numbers were low)
A good report from a distant land...
Wonderful job. It was so good of you to warn her about what you were going to tell her. It should be her choice to hear it, and you made it so.
Thanks for sharing.
Dear Bliss,
I read this as encouraging. Right from the get go it seemed like she was feeling you out, trying to find out what you knew to confirm her own suspicions and doubts, but careful not to say anything incriminating to herself. This is the typical cagey behavior of someone in a high control group who needs information, but is afraid of trusting the wrong person. Her reaction at the end sounded right too, like she was relieved that it wasn't going to end with you reporting her to the elders.
You showed a lot of courage entrusting her with what you know. Try and emphasize to her that anything that she says to you will remain confidential, then keep that promise, no matter how tempting it might be to talk to others about it. You may have an apostate sister pretty soon if my instincts are correct. Nice going.

good job, bliss.
nice to see you posting again. Let us know if she contacts you again. Maybe she is questioning things and will want to know more.
Hugs,
Joy

I guess it is always possible for that to happen but I only don't want to be df'ed because I would like to still be able to help ones in the borg. None of my family is in, I have a world of old and new friends, and my life is full............nothing is holding me to the WTS. So if she did go to the elders and I got df'ed all that would happen is I couldn't talk to some of the ones who are curious and doubtful.
Regarding her good standing.........well, she has always been on the outside of the congregation. Her hubby was an elder who was mistreated and has since died, she knows how things work in the borg and has often been too outspoken for the brothers' liking. But like many, she is frightened too. So all I can do is keep the door open for her to come through, she knows she can't influence me in going back. So if she does get back to me and wants to catch up again I will be pretty sure she has serious doubts and I will slowly, slowly help her build on the facts.
Thanks for your responses and comments. I will keep you posted on future events.

hey Bliss - good to hear from you again.
I guess one thing's for sure regardless of all that's been said on this thread: You will find out one way or the other sooner or later. All the best!

If by chance this happens it's only her statement; no other witness. The "two witness" rule should apply.
