I have undoubtly written so many things on this thread... and so I don't know if I've repeated myself... but I'll say it again if I haven't already done so... I like the King James version too, but I wouldn't rely on it thought for accuracy, but that's just my opinion. I like many Bibles -- accurate or not. I like the NWT as well. But I think people would hate me for liking that one. :( It's alright if they like the King James, but if I like the NWT they think there is something wrong with you. It's a double-standard. I just hope people like you can love your King James' Authorized Bible... and people like me like the Fred Franz' New World Bible. That's all I care about. I am saying this to you and other people.

And if people think the NWT is inaccuarate, I don't care.

I think it's outrageous how people defend this King James Bible, but have a go at my favorite one.

Everybody has their own thing they like, you know for different reasons.

Inq:I have several copies of the NWT, too. Since that was the translation I was raised with for over three decades, I still use it, albeit mainly for find the scripture that's buzzing around in my head.

Have you tried the "Literal Version" by Green?
There's a Hebrew/Greek/English interlinear for it and everything.
The translation style is much akin to the NWT, and it's my version of choice, when not looking for the poetic language of the AV.

Just my thoughts on the matter, but no "version" of the bible is perfect, because they were all written by man for mankind, and we are all well aware that man is not perfect, and will always be fallible. It's the spirit of the bible that is what is important, it should not be used as a word for word guide on what to do, more like a guideline to be followed to help.

Yeah... I think I have tried Green's version... not sure, I thought it was just another almost dito version of the AV. What's the full name of this version? ...It must be a different version than what your talking about. I should look into that one myself. :)

Does it have the divine name in the Hebrew and Christian Greek Scriptures?

How is it represented? Jehovah, Yahweh or...

It has the Divine name in all appropriate places in the OT, and not at all in the NT (which is completely accurate ).
It uses the name "Jehovah", for the Divine name (which is likely not so accurate ).

Oh right. I have done some research into that matter, and it is evident that 1) Using the name Jehovah is a sound idea in the Greek Scriptures, 2) YHWH translate into Jehovah.

Are you aware of this book? The Name of God Yehowah pronounced as it's written?

Sorry, I know I have had a lot of debate on this thread, and I hope I don't seem like a trouble maker and starting up another. I really thought it was a fitting time to say what I thought in the last thread.

Little Toe is wrong that Jehovah should not be in the NT, by the way. See above book.
