My second husband's family was Catholic. Every year they gave up the same thing.
First they gave up ice-cream. But they replaced it with ice-milk, during lent.
They also gave up hard hard liquor and only drank beer lent.
But on Easter Sunday....OOOOOoooo Weeee...did they have a blow out Party...

i'm giving up denying myself any of lifes pleasures.....so I guess I'm giving up lent !
