I’ve noticed this same trend myself. All of our meetings are bland to the point of making it hard to stay awake.

I guess thats why they print this crap in the same book.

    ***

cl chap. 22 p. 228 Is "the Wisdom From Above" at Work in Your Life? *** 22 How can we safeguard practical wisdom? Not only must we regularly read the Bible and the Bible-based publications provided by "the faithful and discreet slave" but we must also endeavor to apply what we learn.

Absolutely! So, you don't even have to wait for the next day...

This is what I think, having looked at how the organization was 6 or 7 decades ago: the WT is very good at adapting and surviving; there has been a constant trend, over the decades, for changes and people sometimes don't even notice them.

But major changes to really shake things up, I don't know... I'm skeptical about that.

One - Don't know how you do it! Does this apply to the poor Dubs as well?

This is the chain of "command":

    Governing Body

FDS (remember all the 8,000+ annointed are still under the GB regardles of what their doctrine says)

Branch Commitee (This is relatively new in the US)

    District Overseer

    Circuit Overseer

PO (or sometimes the PO's wife depending on her personality)

Body of Elders (or sometimes the elders wives depending on their personalities)

    MS

    Pioneers

Regular Aux. Pioneers (or if you do it at least during the reccomended memorial season)

    Baptized brothers

    Baptized sisters

I honestly believe these comments mean nothing as far as a trend to get away from the gb. The wt has consistently been "inconsistent' on all these matters in print. What really matters is what the elders, c.o., and so forth say. If pressed, on this arcticle and scripture the elders would no doubt say something like, 'Christ is the head of the congregation. And we know the gb is the representative of the congregation. Therefore, the spirit teaches us through that chain.' Jehovah, Jesus, GB, so forth...
