Yes. After I had met with the JC and told them I am not ever coming back to the meetings and turned in my pioneer ID, they called me 9 months later to ask for my time and tell me I was scheduled to give a talk!!!! I laughed so hard at that.

I never got called, because when I used to go out in Service (eons ago), I was always diligent about putting my time in each and every month.

I cant wait 'til the GB does away with it.

You don't want to hang from a rope waiting for that to happen. If they did away with reporting field service, 3/4 of all Dubs would simply stop going out.

Yeah. Just this past Friday the secretary called. Had to tell him that we had no time for the month. I got a similar responce "you mean you didn't talk to anyone about Jehovah at all last month?" then he wanted to know why, I guess it looks bad because I have the Bookstudy and Sat. Morn field service meetings at my house.

Hey whats this thing any way? Looks like a rock or something.

THIS was one of the major reasons that I began peeking at boards like this one. Thhe lack of love that I felt, and the fact that the ONLY time I'd get a phone call was to report my TIME!

It really stung, month after month, (I lived 3,4, and 5 houses away from JWs, one being the BS conductor, and no one can get to the KH without passing by my house) when I was ignored but my TIME was so important! Grrr!

Not to gain sympathy but to show WHY this made me so upset----for many months, after a bad fall, I was in a wheelchair or on crutches that went on to develop into severe arthritis-hence the wheelchair and/or crutches---plus I was caring for a handicapped child here with Autism and ADHD. Everyone knew it. BUT having my TIME up to date was more important than a nice phone call offering support or a kind word.

This is a VERY sore spot with me.

That was the only reason he would call - otherwise they never knew we existed! They just wanted to find out if we had 'punched in and out correctly'

Amen sister! I looked at the inverse of Jesus statement "by this all will know you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves" and began to see that this could not be the 'truth' I had believed for 45 years [baptized 32] - it took a little more to convince me - but now I stand a proud and official 'apostate'

Praise be to God!!!! [with a little evangelical tilt to the voice]
